Damn you pizza pizza!!

So I am apparently not in the weight loss mode yet. I have been trying and I did somewhat good today. Until dinner. Well. Until lunch. I made breakfast at home, which was egg whites, cheese and a wrap. Yum...I could eat this for every meal! Then I had sliced peppers for a snack and some pretzels. Lunch was shish-ka-bobs that I made yesterday...mainly veggies with 3 oz of steak and one serving of angel hair pasta(not white...but not wheat either). And someone brought bagels and left them on the lunch room table. Bagels have long been a weakness of mine. Basically anything carby...but there was a pumpernickle bagel in there and I ate it :( 370 calories with that and the one serving of cream cheese. So I was determined to continue eating good for the rest of the day, including dinner. I worked a 12 hour day today...I had to pick the baby up on the other side of town at my sister in law's house and then come home...I ate lunch at noon and by 650 I was absolutely starving :( So I ended up at little caesar's and ordered a $5 pizza. Then I ate 4 pieces, figuring they were small and thin crust and I was starving and in binge mode. 800 calories. and it isn't even awesome pizza. I am so frustrated with myself for stopping there. And I am upset that I binged (I don't purge...I just binge. Neither is better, but when I binge I just end up fatter). So...I am done with food for tonight and tomorrow will be a better day!! I really need to get my head on straight and just start eating better. I might start posting my food here for a few days so I can really be accountable for what I am eating. This can't be good for Mason either since I am breastfeeding him :( I must get this under control!!

  1. On a good note - I met my burn goal.
The bad thing is I ate 35 more calories than I have burned so far. At least today will be a wash instead of a gain.

  2. Bad days happen ! One of the hardest things to overcome ( for me at least) is when i get tired, pressed for time and starving ! Don't beat yourself up about it, but look back and see what strategies you could put in place for those sorts of occasions. For me, one of the best defenses is my crock pot ! I plan our week ( I am a homeschooling stay at home mom with a husband who works two jobs and the second can get really unpredictable time wise), and on those days that there is going to be the slightest chance of a time crunch, I plan something for the crock pot. If that fails, i keep a stash of go to kinds of things in my freezer for a quick meal grab. Pre- cooked beans, soups, cooked rice, meatballs, chicken breasts and so forth. it's not perfect, but it has always saved me from the temptation of the drive through, pizza place or so forth . Consider what you have, what appeals and then form some kind of emergency kit /tools to keep on hand . ( and pumpernickel bagels are really tempting to me also !!!)

  3. I've had two days in the past 5 that my burn and consumed have basically cancelled eachother out. I think my total deficit for the 2 days was somewhere around 75 calories ... instead of the 750 calorie deficit I'm supposed to have daily!

It happens. Life goes on. You'll get there!!!

  4. Starting out is the hardest part because you know what you should eat but it doesn't always work out that way...especially when life gets in the way :) I'm with ya...hopefully today is better!!!

  5. Eggs LOL that is my favorite fall back for when I am hungry but to tired to cook. It is usually pretty easy to scramble some with chopped veggies. So what did you eat yesterday/today? :)
